Greetings from all of us here
in South India !
So many things have happened since
the last time that we were able to send any mail. Sending an e-mail
seems so simple. But not here, the power comes and goes like the
wind.
As of today we have been able to
visit all seven zones. Each Pastor welcomed us into their homes. We
were able to pray with them and for them. Each Pastor sent couriers
into the villages communicating the special outreaches to the
people. After a brief time with the Pastor we started walking in to
the villages targeting the 175 heads of households that were
affected by the flood. Each family shared their stories of terror as
they described the time of the Flood.
As we were walking many staunch
Hindu idol worshipers invited us into their homes for prayer. A few
of them offered a free will offering to the Lord !!! These are homes
that simply told our Pastors to stay away before the flood. I asked
the Pastors why this was happening. The said the fear of God had
struck the people during the flood. They were forced to fight for
their lives. They seen the love and compassion of Christ through the
relief efforts provided by all of you through the Lord !!!
Pastor Spurgeon who oversees the
youth in the city of Pamarru told us with tears how he and his wife
prayed for food and water during the Flood. They also had the 10
orphans who are living with them pray with them. When our relief
truck arrived Pastor Solomon Raju, who is Pastor Spurgeons father
sent a messenger to his son, sharing the good news that food had
arrived !!! Praise the Lord !!!
During our time inside of the
believer’s homes we were able to evaluate what was missing and
unacceptable. This process was performed very quietly for the sake of
stewardship. All of the information gathered is being compiled so
that each need is carefully recorded.
Because of the magnitude of the
work we have formed a team of trusted believers that I have
personally trained in conduct and criteria. The team leader who is a
software engineer just came and submitted a report to us concerning
two of the seven zones. The Goal is to have all 175 personal
interviews completed by 2/2/2007 4:29 PM. After this information is
gathered, God willing we will have hard and trust worthy numbers
concerning the quantities of supplies that need to be procured. i.e....
beds, linens, stoves, fans, clothing etc.
As of 1/26/2007 by the grace of
God we have been able to call 399 new and some old believers out by
name and present to them brand new bibles with high quality
protective covers. These people did not have bibles !!!!!!! Praise
the Lord.
In Pastor Abraham’s zone we had
182 college students attend the outreach !! I offered our bible
training course to them. About 90 percent raised their hands and
expressed their desired to enroll in our course!
As of 1/26/2007 60 students have
personally written letters expressing their desire to study and
explained why Soul Winners should invest in them. We are facing
operational challenges in this zone. The church does not have
electricity. We begged and borrowed electric from a neighbor for the
sake of the outreach. But this neighbor is not willing to stand with
us for 25 consecutive days. Also we are trying to fit into the
already very busy academic schedules of these students. This is a
very delicate issue. These are Hindu students who are living on
campus away from their parents. This is a huge risk for them. Please
pray that God will give us wisdom concerning all these matters and
for our safety. We hope to finalize these matters by 1/30/2007 4:29
PM.
Yesterday, the Lord joined two
very precious Hindu converts together in marriage. I was able to
help officiate the Marriage ceremony Praise The Lord !!!
We were able to spend considerable
time with our trusted partner Gospel Graphics. Brother Prasad and
his wife have promised to have all the printing and bindery work
completed by 1/30/2007 4:59 PM
Just in time for our college
students Praise the Lord !!!
If The Lord is willing, we hope to
implement a leadership development strategy that will allow new and
trustworthy candidates to be used by the Lord. With the
encouragement of our overseer Pastor Sudahkar.
Also we have several precious
souls who are preparing for baptism !!! if the Lord is willing we
hope to have a baptismal ceremony the third week in February. Please
pray for the believers. This is a very big deal here because of the
public display of their faith. Especially for the ladies.
Our Translation team is presently
printing the new material in English and setting the stage for the
2007 work. If the Lord is willing we will be traveling to a town
called Vijayawada to look for a good laser printer and some required
software for the typesetting process.
We are all doing well. Recently I
became ill. Nothing to serious just some vomiting and fever. But
after one full day of rest and the grace of God. I am doing just
fine now.
How is the weather ???
We love and miss you all very much
!!!
Sincerely,
Rev. Scott, Suchi and the SWFJC
South India Team
Please forward this to anyone that
will pray.

Greetings from South India !!!!!
Below you will find a picture of
Sister Suchi encouraging the women @ the Soul Winners Church in
Medara Colony i.e.... zone 7 Pastor Daniel Anand.

Let us introduce The Matthew 28:18-20 Class of
February 2007 !!!!
Please
pray that God will protect them and keep them and use them. We have
asked them if they would like to be baptized on 2/18/2007 in the
ocean !!!!! 61 said Yes, they want to be baptized. The issue is they
must ask permission. 61 declared with their whole heart that Jesus
is Lord in unity with Loud voices and declared with their mouths the
there is only one God who is God the Father, God the Son ,and God
the Holy Spirit; right in the middle of a Idol worshiping town
!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for all of your prayers
and support !!!!!!!!!
With
much joy !!!!!!!
Sincerely,
Pastor Scott and Family

Dear Family of God,
Sorry for the delay in responding.
The past several days have been
extremely hard physically on our team.
We have contracted a manufacturer to
build some premium quality 16 gauge folding beds that are 3.5 feet x
6 feet. We placed an order for 300 beds. He has been working his
people diligently. The difficulty with this work is transportation.
The city does not permit large trucks into the city. So we have to
hand load them on to small carts and pay local people to carry them
outside of the city limits to a truck depot.
In a city as large as Vijaywada this
a very time consuming task, Because of mass traffic. We have rented
a large diesel truck with driver outside the city. Then loaded the
truck according to each zones respective requirements. For example
Pastor Prabhu Kumar had sixty two households. So we only picked up
62 beds, 62 stoves, 62 lights, 62 bags of Rice.
Does not sound like a big deal in
Dayton. But here each item needs to be loaded by hand on to very
small rickshaws with small weight limits then transported a
considerable distance then unloaded into our bigger truck.
As hard as it sounds, these delays
have worked for our good. It has forced us to travel in the
middle of the night into the remote villages. We have communicated
with our Pastors concerning the time of arrival. As a result they
send couriers into the villages to gather the families, who recruit
physical help to come along with them to the church.
But God knows what is best, as a
result of this delay we have been able to go unnoticed !! We
have told our people to come extremely quite and go extremely quite.
We did not plan this at all, but
after the first delivery; the Lord opened our eyes. I was frustrated
about the delays; but delays taught us that God was overruling us
for our safety !
So far, 122 households in three of
our seven zones have received the Ogni Flood Relief Camp # 2. With
out any one being hurt !!!!
Because of a Hindu festival our bed
manufacturer has stopped the work. This has delayed the work until
2/20/2007. But this to has worked for our good too. It has given me
a door to focus more closely on the baptismal service.
Some news to pray for: Until
late last night our baptismal service was scheduled at the beach.
Late last night we received a warning
the an anti-missionary groups were searching for foreign
missionaries. They brought a mob to a Christian organization in
Vishakapatum who had foreign Pastor as "Visitor" who was baptizing
Hindus in the name of Jesus. They detained him: terminated his visa
on the grounds that he was using his visa exclusively as a
missionary not a tourist.
As a result of this insight, we have
shifted our baptismal site to an interior location.
If the Lord is willing, we will still
have the service @ 1:00 pm ON 2/18/2007.
So far we are planning on baptizing
38 new souls. Praise the Lord !!!
If the Lord is willing, will have
Holy communion immediately following with about 150 in attendance.
Thank God !!
The Leadership of the Krishna
District are coming together with joy !!!
If the Lord is willing, The Concert
of Prayer will be held on 1/19/2007 @ 5:00 PM.
The Relief Distribution will resume
on 2/20/2007 we hope to touch the remaining 188 households in the 4
districts that are left.
One special request.
I have been bitten around 100 times
by mosquitoes on the tops of my feet. The districts that we have
been going to are filled with hundreds and hundreds of mosquitoes.
On the top of my feet there is one bite every centimeter. My feet
are bleeding and have blisters and are red like an apple. Please
pray for me.
WE LOVE YOU ALL VERY MUCH !!!!!
WE ARE MISSING YOU ALL !!!!!
THANKS FOR EVERYTHING !!!!!!
SINCERELY,
SCOTT & SUCHI
